Volkswagen is expanding its e-mobility campaign with a sporty flagship model: The ID.4 GTX is the new top-of-the-range model in the purely electric ID.4 model series.
The ID.5 is the first E-SUV coupé from Volkswagen. It is the all-electric top model with premium features based on the modular electric drive matrix (MEB). The new ID.5 and the sporty ID.5 GTX with dual-motor all-wheel drive inspire with expressive design, long-distance capability and the latest software generation.
Powerful, sporty, expressive. The ID.5 GTX is the dynamic flagship of the model series. It is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system in which the electric drive motor on the front axle supports the rear motor as required. This combination is capable of delivering a maximum power of up 220 kW (299 PS). The model’s premium and athletic character is underlined by its generous standard equipment – including numerous assist systems and high-quality design accents. The ID.5 GTX also comes with all-rounder qualities and can pull a maximum trailer weight of up to 1,400 kilograms.
The ID.7 is, after the models ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.6 (only in China) and the ID. Buzz, the sixth model in the ID. Family and the second global car from Volkswagen based on MEB after the ID.4. The electric sedan will be launched in the three primary markets of China, Europe and North America. The ID.7 for the European market will be produced at the Volkswagen Emden plant. It is the second model based on the modular electric drive matrix to be built in Emden.

    ChatGPT is now available in many Volkswagen models

    Volkswagen models featuring the new-generation infotainment system are now also equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) of ChatGPT. The AI-based research tool is available in all new vehicles in the all-electric ID. family, as well as in the new Golf, new Tiguan and new Passat. It can be accessed using the IDA voice assistant and offers a range of new options that go far beyond the voice control previously available. For example, customers can now have search results read out to them, and can interact with the car using natural language.

    New ID.7 models: extremely dynamic GTX and a WLTP range of up to 709 kilometres with the ID.7 Pro S

    Volkswagen is expanding its range of ID.7 models. The new ID.7 GTX – a fastback with 250 kW (340 PS) output and electric all-wheel drive – celebrates its world premiere first. Just two days later, on 6 June, pre-sales are scheduled to start in Germany at prices starting from 63,155 euros. Pre-sales of the ID.7 GTX Tourer (from 63,955 euros), ID.7 Pro S (from 58,985 euros) and ID.7 Tourer Pro S (from 59,785 euros) models presented in March will start at the same time. Like the ID.7 GTX, the 250-kW ID.7 GTX Tourer also has electric all-wheel drive. The rear-wheel drive models ID.7 Pro S and ID.7 Tourer Pro S develop a maximum output of 210 kW (286 PS). All four new ID.7 versions are equipped with an 86-kWh battery.

    The ID.3 product line is becoming more diverse: start of pre-sales for GTX, Pro and Pure models

    Volkswagen is expanding its ID.3 range and is now offering three further versions: in addition to the new dynamic ID.3 GTX with an output of 210 kW (285 PS), the enhanced ID.3 Pro and the new entry-level ID.3 Pure are now available to order. They all feature the new software and infotainment generation with a 12.9-inch (32.8-centimetre) display and an improved operating concept. In addition, optional features such as the enhanced augmented reality head-up display, a redesigned Wellness app and the premium sound system from Harman Kardon are available. The battery sizes range from 79 kWh (net) in the ID.3 GTX to 59 kWh (net) in the ID.3 Pro to 52 kWh (net) in the new ID.3 Pure.

    The new ID.7 Tourer - The world premiere

    The ID.7 is the flagship among electric Volkswagen models – a progressive fastback saloon with a long range. Volkswagen is now expanding the ID.7 portfolio with an estate car: the ID.7 Tourer​. The new Volkswagen model is one of the first all-electric estate cars in the upper mid-sized class. Volkswagen is also represented in this class with the new Passat Variant. Both product lines complement each other and together cover all relevant drive types. The aerodynamic ID.7 Tourer​ combines the emission advantages of electric mobility with long ranges and a very high load capacity (up to 1,714 litres) – parameters that combine many requirements of the business and private world more sustainably than ever before.

    The Volkswagen ID.7

    Volkswagen is continuing to ramp up the speed of the electrical transformation: the latest hardware and software updates to the ID.3, ID.4 and ID.5 are now set to be followed by the start of series production of the brand new ID.7. The fastback saloon was recently named ‘German Car of the Year 2024’ (www.gcoty.de) by an international jury. And the new Volkswagen not only took first place in the Premium category, but also the overall competition. The winner was selected from all new vehicles presented over the past 12 months. Measuring almost five metres long and equipped with the best convenience features, the ID.7 is a Volkswagen positioned in the upper mid-size vehicle class. Here, it impresses with a new high-efficiency drive, long ranges, quick charging, generous space, a brand new high-tech interior concept and a high quality standard. The ID.7 will be launched around the world. It all starts in Europe: the new Volkswagen can already be ordered here as a 210 kW (286 PS)∗∗ ID.7 Pro with a 77 kWh battery. A Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) range of up to 621∗ kilometres has been calculated for this model. Volkswagen plans to expand the product line’s portfolio further over the coming months. The launch version will be followed by ID.7 models with an even larger battery, a sporty GTX version with all-wheel drive, and an estate version, which will be called Tourer in the ID-7 product line.

    The new ID.4 and ID.5

    Volkswagen is now announcing the details of extensive upgrades to the hardware and software of the ID.4 and ID.5. Customers who order one of these models from now on will receive their vehicles with a new software and infotainment system generation and an improved operating concept. In addition, the touch sliders for the air conditioning and volume control will be illuminated in future. The augmented reality head-up display has been enhanced and there is a newly designed 480-watt premium sound system from Harman Kardon. On board the ID.4 Pro, Pro 4MOTION and GTX versions and the ID.5 models, the more economical and at the same time more powerful high-efficiency drive from the ID.7 provides more driving dynamics and driving pleasure. In combination with the Pro models, the new drive develops 210 kW (286 PS); the GTX versions deliver 250 kW (340 PS).

These are the findings of a representative survey carried out by mm customer strategy. With support from Volkswagen, the consulting company surveyed more than 7,500 people in the five countries of Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.
