Battery recycling pilot plant

Volkswagen is working on further minimising carbon emissions in the value chain.When the ID.3 reaches the end of its service life, its battery can be reused in second life concepts – or it becomes a source of raw materials after recycling.

Additional equipment and accessories (additional components, tyre formats, etc.) can alter relevant vehicle parameters such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics, affecting the vehicle's fuel consumption, power consumption, CO2 emissions and driving performance values in addition to weather and traffic conditions and individual driving behavior.
