Volkswagen has completely redeveloped the third generation of the bestseller - which has sold more than 8 million units - and improved it in all areas. However, based on the successful Tiguan DNA, a completely new design was created - typical Tiguan, typical Volkswagen and yet completely new. The Tiguan interior defines a new standard in this series with its high level of materials and workmanship. The newly designed cockpit landscape based on the fourth generation modular infotainment system (MIB4) also defining the style.
The drive spectrum ranges from TDI and TSI engines to eTSI engines with 48-volt technology and plug-in hybrid drive systems of a new evolutionary stage (eHybrid). With electric ranges of over 100 km, these plug-in hybrid drives make the new Tiguan an electric car in everyday life.
A new feature in the Tiguan class is the new chassis control “DCC Pro” with 2-valve dampers, which ensures both maximum comfort and the highest level of agility.
Furthermore, luxury class features such as ergoActive massage seats and the LED HD matrix headlights underline the high quality of the Tiguan.

Superior towing vehicles – Tiguan, Tayron and Passat with all-wheel drive and new powerful turbocharged petrol engines
Volkswagen is expanding the drive range of the best-selling Tiguan and Passat as well as the new Tayron with the most powerful turbocharged petrol engines (TSI). These are coupled to the intelligently controlled 4MOTION all-wheel drive as standard. The combination of TSI and 4MOTION enables towing capacities of up to 2,200 kg (Passat and Tiguan) and 2,500 kg (Tayron with appropriate equipment). The Tiguan and Tayron SUVs can be configured as 2.0 TSI 4MOTION with 150 kW (204 PS) or 195 kW (265 PS). The Passat 2.0 TSI 4MOTION always comes in the more powerful 195 kW version. Sales of the new Volkswagen all-wheel drive models have begun in some markets in Europe. The turbocharged petrol engines complement the most powerful TDI engine with 142 kW (193 PS). -

New Tiguan awarded 5 stars in current Euro NCAP safety assessment
Euro NCAP, the renowned European consumer protection programme, has awarded the new Tiguan the highest rating of five stars for safety. This means the third generation of the best-selling model is officially one of the safest vehicles in its class. The Volkswagen scored particularly well in the category of child occupant protection. This rating is all the more important as the Tiguan, which has sold well over 7.6 million units, is an ideal all-rounder for families.
