Polo GTI comes with a very dynamic specification: 152 kW (207 PS) power, 320 Nm torque, a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, specially tuned sports running gear and a body that is lowered by 15 millimetres. The powerful model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h. At the same time, the Polo GTI is a perfect car for everyday use that is also a confident and relaxed companion for longer trips – optionally with fully connected navigation system and extensive assist system package. In addition, the typical GTI features go without saying. In the interior, these include the premium sport seats with red contrasting seams and also the leather multifunction sports steering wheel with paddles. On the exterior, details such as the GTI logo in the radiator grille, the chrome-plated twin tailpipes and the red brake calipers create an eye-catching look for the dynamic model.

Golf icons, shows and community: countdown to the GTI fan festival in Wolfsburg with a host of highlights

It is almost time for the car lovers’ social event of the year in Wolfsburg: the GTI fan festival will take place around the Volkswagen Arena from 26 to 28 July. In addition to vehicle presentations, stage shows and club meets, there will also be numerous highlights and surprises for GTI and Volkswagen fans and their families inspired by the motto ‘Icons Coming Home’. A one-day ticket costs EUR 19.76, but a three-day VIP ticket is also available. For Friday afternoon, an additional Sundowner ticket will also be available for EUR 8.50 from 3:00 pm. Tickets for the big GTI Fanfest go on sale

Less than four month to go until the big GTI party takes place, from 26-28 July. For the first time, the legendary GTI meetup will be held at locations around the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg, and the theme will be Icons Coming Home. All information on advance ticket sales can now be found on www.volkswagen.de/gtifanfest, with one-day passes costing €19.76 and three-day VIP tickets available for €119.76. A limited number of Experience Tickets are also available, and include a 150-minute driving experience in a series of performance Volkswagen models at the testing facility in Ehra near Wolfsburg. More details about the meet-up can be found on the event website, where information will continually be updated. In addition to car displays, stage shows and club meets, many more activities and surprises lay in store for GTI and Volkswagen enthusiasts and their families. Admission is free for under-18s.

Celebrating the birthday of an icon: Volkswagen presents limited-edition Polo GTI Edition 25

25 years of the Polo GTI! – To mark this anniversary, Volkswagen is launching the special-edition model Polo GTI Edition 25. It was in 1998 that the Polo first added those three iconic letters to its name: GTI. Now, a quarter of a century after the launch of the Polo III GTI, VW presents a limited edition of the current 152 kW (207 PS) Polo GTI. The powerful drive is impressive, but it’s not the only thing that stands out about this sporty compact car: with features including sports suspension, the electronic differential lock XDS, a comprehensive range of standard equipment and some special design highlights, the anniversary model is something special. The Polo GTI Edition 25 will be available to order in Germany from 1 June, priced at €35,205.
