With the compact Taigo, Volkswagen launched its first SUV coupé in the small car segment on the European market in 2021. It has a fresh design, a modern and digital cockpit, and also offers groundbreaking connectivity. The Taigo comes as standard with the lane keeping system Lane Assist. Autonomous Emergency Braking Front Assist is also always on board as standard. Other assist systems are optionally available. The Taigo leaves the production line with three- and four-cylinder engines, and power is transferred to the front wheels by a 6-speed gearbox or optionally a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. The running gear has the balanced and sporty characteristics typical for Volkswagen.

Hat-trick in the renowned Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) safety test: the new Volkswagen models ID.5, Polo and Taigo have each achieved the highest score possible with five out of five stars. The testers gave the all-electric SUV coupé and the two new small cars with combustion engines excellent ratings in all four tested criteria: the protection of adult occupants, children and vulnerable road users and standard assist systems. -
All-new Taigo available in dealerships now
With the launch of the Taigo, a totally new model arrives in Volkswagen showrooms – with a sloping roof like a coupé and a slightly elevated seating position. However, its modern character is not only reflected in the elegant shape of its body, but also in the many intelligent comfort, operating and assist systems. On request, the small car can be upgraded with a black roof, large tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof, and technological features like IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist for partly automated driving. The entry price for the all-new Taigo (with 1.0 TSI engine, 70 kW/95 PS, 5-speed) is € 19,350.
