The I.D. BUZZ is a Volkswagen van of the next generation. It transfers the feeling of freedom given by the legendary Microbus to the next era of mobility. In technical terms, the study, with a power output of 275 kW, is based on the All-New Electric Architecture. Its electric range is up to 600 km (NEDC). The four-wheel-drive I.D. BUZZ can be charged either inductively or via a charging station. The Volkswagen is also the world’s first versatile electric van with a fully automated driving mode. Like all I.D. models, the I.D. BUZZ , with its open space – the interior of the future – ensures better space utilization than all current vehicles. The production version of the I.D. BUZZ , which is almost five meters long, is due to be launched in 2022.

The ID. BUZZ concept car from Volkswagen is being further developed in preparation for its launch as a production vehicle. The Chairmen of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brands, Dr Herbert Diess and Dr Eckhard Scholz, announced their production decision today at the Concours d'Elegance in Pebble Beach, California, a unique show for both extraordinary historic cars and new concept vehicles. The ID. Buzz concept car from Volkswagen celebrates its European premiere at the Geneva International Motor Show (9 to 19 March). The new electric MPV is the second model in the ID. range and provides a look ahead to the future – it shows in particular that the modular electric drive matrix (MEB) is well suited to larger vehicles as well: batteries and drive system are housed within the floor; driver and passengers find lots of space for travelling in comfort above.
