You don’t always notice it yourself when you start getting tired while driving. However, your steering behaviour changes – and that is exactly what the Driver Alert System can detect. An acoustic warning sounds. And a message in the multifunction display suggests the only thing that will help now: a break.

New Tiguan awarded 5 stars in current Euro NCAP safety assessment
Euro NCAP, the renowned European consumer protection programme, has awarded the new Tiguan the highest rating of five stars for safety. This means the third generation of the best-selling model is officially one of the safest vehicles in its class. The Volkswagen scored particularly well in the category of child occupant protection. This rating is all the more important as the Tiguan, which has sold well over 7.6 million units, is an ideal all-rounder for families. -
Unique in its class: the new ID. Buzz impresses with innovative driver assistance systems
The vehicle can perform assisted lane changes on the motorway if the turn signal lever is tapped briefly. It can use swarm data or also learn recurring parking manoeuvres: the Volkswagen ID. Buzz is being introduced with new intelligent assistance systems that can make driving even more convenient and also increase safety. This is in line with Volkswagen’s commitment to make the latest technologies accessible to a wide customer base early on. -
Top marks in the Euro NCAP test: five stars for the ID.5, Polo and Taigo

The new Passat - International Media Drive
A class of its own. The Volkswagen Passat is a global bestseller. To date, more than 34 million units have been delivered to almost every country in the world. An ongoing success – even five decades after its debut, the Passat is currently one of the three best-selling Volkswagens internationally alongside the Tiguan and Polo (with their derivatives). In Europe, it has always been a steady long-term seller, especially as the Variant. Since 2022, Volkswagen has therefore exclusively offered the Passat as an estate version between the North Cape and Gibraltar. And with resounding success. In Germany, for example, the Passat Variant was topped the rankings in the mid-sized class in 2023, with 45,494 new registrations. The secret to its success is the fact that the Passat Variant is two cars in one – a business class vehicle and a family all-rounder at the same time. Now, a brand-new Passat Variant is being launched that has been developed from scratch. And this time, it is breaking down class boundaries. Even though the Passat Variant – now in its ninth generation – is priced (from 39,995 euros) in the mid-sized class, its new size, new quality standard and new innovative power mean it can cater to the next segment up. -
