Euro NCAP, the renowned European consumer protection programme, has awarded the new Tiguan the highest rating of five stars for safety. This means the third generation of the best-selling model is officially one of the safest vehicles in its class. The Volkswagen scored particularly well in the category of child occupant protection. This rating is all the more important as the Tiguan, which has sold well over 7.6 million units, is an ideal all-rounder for families.

The vehicle can perform assisted lane changes on the motorway if the turn signal lever is tapped briefly. It can use swarm data or also learn recurring parking manoeuvres: the Volkswagen ID. Buzz is being introduced with new intelligent assistance systems that can make driving even more convenient and also increase safety. This is in line with Volkswagen’s commitment to make the latest technologies accessible to a wide customer base early on.

Hat-trick in the renowned Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) safety test: the new Volkswagen models ID.5, Polo and Taigo have each achieved the highest score possible with five out of five stars. The testers gave the all-electric SUV coupé and the two new small cars with combustion engines excellent ratings in all four tested criteria: the protection of adult occupants, children and vulnerable road users and standard assist systems.

Now, a brand-new Passat Variant is being launched that has been developed from scratch. And this time, it is breaking down class boundaries. Even though the Passat Variant – now in its ninth generation – is priced (from 39,995 euros) in the mid-sized class, its new size, new quality standard and new innovative power mean it can cater to the next segment up.
