Sustainable materials in cars: Volkswagen opts for non-animal leather and recycled materials

Non-animal leather can be made from coffee grounds. Dr. Martina Gottschling, a researcher at Volkswagen Group Innovation, and her team are working on implementing the idea of coffee leather.
